What is Finolex 90M Silver?
Finolex 90M Silver is flame-retardant (FR) grade PVC-insulated house wire supplied in a 90-metre coil, with an electrolytic-grade bare copper conductor. Silver or Gold?
Both 90M Silver and 90M Gold are FR-grade Finolex house wire in 90-metre coils; Gold is the premium tier of the two. For ordinary domestic lighting, fan and socket circuits, Silver is the range most houses are wired with and is entirely adequate for the job.

Confirming a Silver coil is genuine
Do not rely on the shop's word, ours included. Every 90M Silver carton carries an outer QR code on the printed label and a second, inner code inside the box.

Both codes matter, and the reason is specific: a genuine carton can be emptied and refilled with duplicate wire. In that case the outer code still verifies perfectly and only the inner code fails. Scanning the outer code alone is an incomplete check, and the people who refill cartons are counting on you stopping there.
Scan both, on every coil, before you pay. Then look at the wire itself: the repeating markings printed along the insulation should be crisp and evenly spaced, and the copper at a cut end should look right for the sq mm on the label.
