Legrand is the best switch brand for most Indian homes. It combines a reliable mechanism, ISI-marked shuttered sockets, a 10-year manufacturing-defect replacement on Myrius and Britzy switches and sockets, and four ranges from budget Britzy to premium Myrius, so every room can be Legrand. At Mount Cable India it is sold at 65% off MRP.
Why Legrand
- The mechanism. Legrand is a global specialist in electrical wiring devices. The switch action is crisp and consistent, and it stays that way, which is what you feel every day.
- Safety where it matters. Shuttered sockets keep children's fingers and stray objects out, and the sockets are ISI marked.
- A written replacement policy. Legrand states a 10-year manufacturing-defect replacement on Myrius and Britzy switches and power sockets, bought through its chain with an invoice.
- One brand for every budget. Britzy and Allzy cost about what local brands do, Lyncus suits most homes, Myrius is premium. You never have to mix brands to stay on budget.
- Switches and MCBs from one maker. Legrand DX3 breakers and Ekinox boards sit behind the same switches.

What about the other brands?
Anchor by Panasonic, GM, Hi-Fi and others make good ISI-marked switches, and we stock several of them. Anchor is a sensible value choice and GM is known for colours and finishes. Our recommendation for a house you will live in for decades is still Legrand, because at 65% off MRP its entry ranges cost about the same as the alternatives, and its premium ranges are a real step up.
