Scan the QR Code: Verify Your Finolex Wire Is Genuine in 30 Seconds

The fastest way to know whether the Finolex wire in your hands is genuine is printed right on the box: a QR code. Finolex puts a scannable code on its packaging so that any customer — not just dealers — can verify a coil before paying for it. Here's how to use it properly.

Step 1: Find the QR code on the box

Genuine Finolex coils come in printed cartons with the QR code on the label, alongside the batch details, size (sq mm), grade (FR / FR-LSH / Ultra) and coil length. The print should be sharp, evenly aligned and consistent with the rest of the carton — not a sticker pasted over something else.

Step 2: Scan it with your phone camera

Open your phone camera or any QR scanner and point it at the code. A genuine code takes you to Finolex's official verification page — check that the link that opens belongs to Finolex's own domain, not a look-alike website or a random page.

Step 3: Match the details

The details shown after scanning should match what's printed on the carton in your hand — product range, size and batch. If the page shows a different product, an error, or says the code was already used many times, treat the coil as suspect.

Red flags that expose a duplicate

• No QR code at all on the carton, or a code that simply doesn't scan.
• Blurry or smudged printing — copied codes lose sharpness when reprinted.
• A code that opens a non-Finolex website or a generic page with no product details.
• A pasted sticker carrying the QR instead of it being printed on the carton.
• Loose or cut wire with no box — with no carton, there is no QR and no way to verify. Insist on sealed boxes.

Do the check yourself, at the counter

Scan the QR before you pay, at the shop, on the actual boxes being billed to you — not on a sample piece kept at the counter.
